Omg that was so horrible it was almost hard to belive. I have no idea how you were so patient and were able to explain it like a 100 different times to them. I would have started just freaking swearing and yelling at them after the first 10 mins. I seriouslly hope they do eventually figure out that their is a differnce between 0.002 cents and 0.002 dollars and that if you multiply cents by your number then its still in friggen cents and not just magically turns into dollars.

I do not have that much patience, and would have told them to change my bill, or I am bringing the matter up with the Public Utility Commission and the Better Buiseness Bureau... and when I got to the manager level, I would have asked why they have some many TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) sufferers as employees.

wow ill never get verizon if the representatives there are so dumb they cannot realise they are wrong. i realised they were wrong as soon as you hear the entire problem, and im 14.

.01$ = 1c
.2c = .002$
.00002$ = .002c

now the problem would look like this if doing it by cents.
.002c * 35840 = 71.68c

and like this if doing it by dollars
.00002$ * 35840 = .7168$ (71.68c)

if u multiply something on one side by cents it dosnt come out the other as dollars. it still remains in the terms of cents.

i hope one of those 2 verizon people can c this n c how dumb they r.

Well Im glad that some of the worlds youth can understand simple math.

Everyone I work with has some sort of handicap (its a vocational rehab center) and I can safely tell you that >90% (probably >95%) of the people there would not only side with the Verizon people, but become infuriated with this jerk who is wasting their time (exluding the guy with dyscalculia). That is not an exaggeration - working at this place is totally surreal.

On one side of me I have a guy with TBI (who I referenced indirectly earlier) that was caused by (Im told) swallowing a metaphorical half a ton of cocaine to avoid the cops finding it in a bust. On the other side, I have a mostly blind woman who weighs more then a literal half a ton. Across from me is a hefty girl with a southern belle accent (like a cheese grater for your ears) and an IQ of roughly 60. [on a side note, its a good thing Im not racist, as if I was this place would be the ultimate affirmation of my (fictional) prejudice]

(oh, and before you ask, Im there because Im working the system and getting free college (up through Doctorate level) out of 3 months of work)

*end rant*

Also, Im switching to Cingular. Actually... anyone know any good VoIP providers?
